Hi, and thanks for checking out the charities I support. There are many great charities out there that help a lot of people, but I chose these because they are dear to my heart. By supporting me it will help allow me to do things for these charities that require time and money with helping them raise funds. Support me by joining the Rebel Racers!

The first charity I chose is the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

I chose them because they have helped two of my cousins: Jason Depew and Christina Hagan.

Jason Depew. As a young kid, Jason and I were close. In fact, I got to share my faith and my view on Christianity with him. Jason got a rare form of stomach cancer called desmoplastic small cell sarcoma. He was such a fighter. His strong character and strong faith helped me become the person I am today. I have to be tough in racing, but when I think about Jason, it still hurts. Jason was granted a wish by the Make-A-Wish Foundation and I know he would want me to help them.

Christina Hagen. Christina was born with hypoplastic left heart syndrome and was in need of a heart and lung transplant. Her strength came from braking barriers. It has been 13 years since she got her transplant at Children's Hospital in Cleveland and she is still fighting. The Make-A-Wish Foundation gave her and her family a VIP trip to Disneyland in Florida.

The second charity I chose is Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

As women, we know there are many obstacles that we face. Some are in the business world some are in our day-to-day life. Unfortunately, I never got to meet my grandmother Rita. I'm told she had the same entrepreneurial spirit that I have, but I will never know that for myself because she died of breast cancer. Breast cancer has robbed us of a lot of great mentors and the work Susan G. Komen for the Cure does will help put that to an end.

The third charity I chose is the Lyn St. James' In the Winner's Circle Foundation.

This foundation has helped me grow as a person and as a racer. Lyn and her staff are great people. They understand the struggle we face as female drivers in predominantly a male sport. Racing is not a one ball sport. By that I mean that you can't go out in your back yard and practice. At least, most of us can't. Racing is expensive. Lyn's foundation helps women racers who need financial support by providing scholarship money through Project Podium. I am blessed to know Lyn and I am grateful for her support of female racers.
